		<description>Manufacturers conclude that you&#039;ll be watching a large-screen set too far away to reach with a headphone cord.  That doesn&#039;t consider wireless headphones or extension cables, but some designers still think like that anyway.

Here another.  Larger TVs are frequently used with external amplifiers such as surround sound home theater systems.  The headphone jack is found on your amplifier in that case, instead of the set.

But I&#039;m with you, I&#039;d like to see a headphone jack on every set.  I use an extension cable with my headphones, so why not.
